Betapa Jodoh benar-benar di tangan Tuhan…
Minggu lalu, tanggal 6, waktu saya nganter barang pesenan teman saya ke babyshop-nya di bilangan Jatiwaringin, saya diberi kabar gembira oleh salah satu karyawannya, Helen, bahwa rekannya, Santi, tanggal 16 besok mau nikah.
“Mbak Mia, dateng yah… Santi mau nikah tuh!”
Wah, tentu aja saya seneng banget dengernya. Yang namanya Santi itu anaknya imut banget (umurnya juga masiy muda, mungkin baru 20 tahun), trus serba ceplas-ceplos a la betawi, yang bikin anak ini jadi lucu banget dan selalu jadi sumber ketawaan kita semua.
“Sederhana doang kok mbak… gak pake undangan…” jelas Santi.
Saya lantas merancang-rancang rencana. Kebetulan tgl 16 itu saya emang gak bisa datang karena udah ada acara, jadi saya berplanning mau titip kado aja bwat Santi. Saya bahkan udah pegang kado itu, tinggal saya bungkus aja.
Hari minggu kemarin,. tgl 13 Januari, saya dapet sms dari temen saya (bosnya Santi & Helen).
mia, ada berita duka cita. Calonnya Santi meninggal tadi pagi karena sakit.
Asli, saya cuma bisa diem dan gak bisa komen apa-apa. Baru agak lama saya bisa sms ngucapin belasungkawa ke Santi. Saya gak bisa bayangin gimana shocknya Santi, tiga hari lagi harusnya dia jadi pengantin. Tiga hari lagi harusnya dia ketemu jodohnya. Tiga hari lagi harusnya Santi bahagia.
Jodoh emang bener-bener di tangan Tuhan… Kita emang gak bisa apa-apa kecuali cuma usaha & doa.

sori banget ya temen-temen yang udah saya ym-ym dengan semangatnya… terutama Mpiq yang lagi butuh banget HP sehingga berita ini terasa seperti hujan di musim kemarau, maapkan dakuh
ternyata pas saya cek lagi FAQ-nya, bener juga. Kita musti aktivasi account dengan cara mendapatkan free offer berupa trial DVD Blockbuster (which is di Indonesia belom ada) atau ya beli produknya.

Life is unfair!
Life is being so unfair to me.
You know, in my way to Carrefour Kuningan I saw this woman with a perfect, flawless skin and even perfect hair cut and color. Not that I’m jealous – why should I, just because I have this frizzy hair and the color looks more like a kid who spend his day playing kite than to look like a sexy woman? No way, not enough reason to be jealous, uh-uh! – but I can never think why GOD give a perfect complexion (and hair do) to people who is already beautiful and has perfect figures?
I mean, I did said this to Unduk about couple days ago, I CAN’T BELIEVE WHY GOD always give richness to people that are already perfect? Why can’t HE give the perfectness (flawless skin… smooth, silky, easy-to-tame-yet-sexy hair) to to those who are unfortunate, you know, people who spend their lives struggling with dark skin issues, zits and pimples, an always-awful-and-frizzy hair, and not to mention, the lack of body weight? As a matter of fact, people like ME? And give rich and wealthy people physical problems, like I have? They’re rich enough to pay for any medications, botox, plastic surgery, liposuctions, you name it! But me? ME? How can I pay for a doctor consultation, if I can’t even pay my internet bill???
That is why I said that life is soooo unfair!!!
And why… why do I have to pay for a big cup of chai tea and a piece of brownies in Dunkin Donuts – in fact that I am fasting now – just to get some seat so I can write this blog, huh? Why in the world there are no free seats in ambassador, or at least the safe one, if there is any, coz I have to open my laptop. Do you know why? Because, yup…
Life is very, very, VERY unfair.
And when I already paid for the tea and the brownies, and get some seat, and turn on my laptop, I just found out that THERE’S NO 3G SIGNAL HERE!!! Where the hell is the HSDPA signals that I always have here? GOD!!! The world must have turned upside down (since recently I always get FULL 3G signal in my bedroom)… or else…
Life IS unfair.
I have no better explanation.

Don’t-sweat-the-small-stuffs-tips from Miw
Hal-hal dibawah ini sangat mungkin bakal kejadian sama siapa aja -well, yang jelas sih sama saya udah!- so I will give you some how-to-tips to save your energy… so you can use it for some things more useful… like, keeping the world peace, for example! 
Tips #1
If you happen to go to 21 Cineplex in Plasa Semanggi, and you bring your favourite drink from outside (coz y’know how expensive the 21’s cafe is…) and the security guy is asking you not to bring it along with you… rather than give it to him for free (just like Unduk did last month when we got busted), why don’t give him a cold-look in the eye, and ask him back, “Terus, Bapak mau nangkep saya?” and then walk right away, leave him in confusion. (Although my best suggestion for you is to bring a paper bag or a jacket and try to hide your belonging inside them, coz I don’t think it works anymore… they must’ve learned from me )
Tips #2
If you are in the middle of watching movie at the cinema, and your attention is distracted coz somebody calls you, and you think it’s a phone-call from a friend but turn to be a telemarketer who is offering you stuffs, my brilliant suggestion for you is : just put it away from your your ear but don’t hang up, let her speak about 10 seconds, and then say, “halo? halo, mbak?!? aduh suaranya putus-putus nih…” then you can hang it up
They surely won’t feel insulted (why would we? It’s what they do for a living!) but at the same time you are not running out more time watching the movie. It’s a win-win solution!

Now you walk in Centro Dept Store, and you happen to find these very-colorful-cotton-print-tube-tops with no brand label at some corner of the store and they give you 30% discount from the tag (Rp. 69.000), PLEASE DO NOT think that you’re very lucky finding ‘em coz actually you can buy ‘em only 35.000 rups at the Melawai (which, according to Niken, I should bid ‘em lower… damn!)

And when you are briskly walking in the plasa and then some salespeople -who are sometimes very, VERY ANNOYING- are pulling your nerves, like keep following you anywhere and offering you things when you have actually given a definitely-not-interested-whether-in-this-life-or-in-future-life sign, please do not hesitate to make a pause, turn your back and face them (you may also allow to point your finger if necessary) and say in deep, calm voice, “mas, kalo saya anggap mas ganggu saya, saya bisa panggilkan satpam, lho.” Those words surely work like a spell, especially when you are taller then them

Curhat Supir Taksi
Halo, sekarang saya lagi ada di Semanggi nih. Kebetulan lagi males ngapa-ngapain, jadi iseng kabur aja ke Mall, ngadem…. brrrrrr. Sambil iseng-iseng potong rambut, dan iseng-iseng juga nonton bioskop *halagh, isengnya banyak amat ya?*
Tadi saya naik Blue Bird ke Semanggi. Di jalan, supirnya tau-tau curhat sama saya. Nah saya juga agak bingung tuh kenapa saya sering banget dicurhatin orang. Mungkin karena penampilan saya terpercaya layaknya psikolog handal *cuihhh* atau mungkin karena tampang saya bikin adem kaya air sumur, jadi tiap kali orang ketemu saya, bawaannya pasti curhat terus *tengok kiri kanan takut pelayan Chicken Story tau-tau pingin curhat juga* Read the rest of this entry »
Si Pencuri Kue
Suatu hari, ada seorang wanita yang berada di bandara untuk satu penerbangan. Untuk menghabiskan waktu menunggu boarding, maka wanita tersebut memutuskan membeli buku untuk dibaca sambil menghabiskan waktu, dan juga membeli satu kantung kue. Lalu, di ruang tunggu, wanita ini menyimpan baik-baik tasnya, membuka bukunya, dan mulai membaca. Kursi sebelahnya kebetulan kosong, dan di sisi sebelah yg kosong ada seorang pria yg sedang membaca surat kabar.
Wanita tersebut mulai membaca sambil mengambil kue yang ia letakkan di bangku yang kosong. Setelah agak lama, dia baru tersadar, ternyata pria yang duduk di sebelah kue tersebut juga ikut mengambil kuenya! Astaga, ngga sopan betul ya, ikut-ikut mengambil kue tanpa ijin saya, begitu pikirnya. Namun wanita ini sungkan untuk menegur, apalagi sang pria terlihat dengan cueknya tetap saja membaca surat kabar sambil sesekali mencomot kuenya. Alhasil sang wanita jadi tidak konsen membaca, dan malahan berpura-pura membaca sambil tangannya sesekali masuk ke kantung kue untuk mengambilnya, dan sesekali melirik sang pria yang tetap saja mencomot kuenya tanpa ijin. Begitu terus sampai akhirnya tiba di potongan kue terakhir. Wanita tersebut mulai mereka-reka, kira-kira apa yg akan dilakukan pria itu ya? Ternyata pria itu mengambil potongan kue terakhir, membaginya dua sama rata, dan memberikan potongan yang satu pada sang wanita sambil tersenyum ramah, dan yang satunya lagi, ia makan dengan lahapnya.
