Mia’s Day Out (a.k.a Confession of a Dangerous Impulsive Shopper Part II)

Wow… It feels like a zillion years ago since I posted my last ‘curhat’

You know I’ve been taking care of my father-in-law for these past 2 alone without any helps, right? How I have to prepare for his meal (and give it to him directly) 5 times a day, change his diapers several times a day, managing his medications, medicines, vitamins, pees and poos, and when he’s in the hospital for 5 days I have to looked after him almost all day long, etc. etc. etc. And I hardly have my own day-break along this 2 months. I remember I had a chance to go out all day to manage a bazaar a week before Ied Mubarak and a couple hours of visiting my bestfriend few days after the Ied, and it’s all done when Unduk is home. That’s all.

So when Unduk gave me another day-break yesterday (Sunday), I was soooo happy that I planned everything since three days before the d-day :p I should give my self a credit for all the efforts I’ve been doing. I planned to go to movie to watch any movie they play, or maybe spend a couple of hours in a salon to have a pedicure, or hairspa, or maybe foot-massage. Anything that quench my soul’s thirst!!! :D

But in reality, in the morning I have to attend my friend’s wedding until 11. And then I spent 4hours sleeping (sounds like me, doesn’t it?). Unduk had to wake me up about 3 times to remind me that I had planned my me-time that day, and I finally woke up at 3 in the afternoon, so I only have about 4 hours to fill my heart’s joy. With only 4 hours to spend, I went directly to my heaven-on-earth. Ambassador Mall & ITC Kuningan. And I still believe that I deserve some credit. So I took it.

Literally ^_^

I did gave my credit card a cool-refreshing-swap or two, to shop something not-so-important (according to my mum) but God knows I’ll look cool in those things, hahaha!!! My treasures were three long tops (a print-flowery-long-shirt made in Thailand, a photo-print long shirt from Mango (or at least they say it’s a Mango) and a nice-and-comfort-pink-long-shirt made from outtanowhere, and the most important information is that : they were all 40% discount!), and then 1 giant-canvas-hand-bag printed with Mickey Mouse comics, some hairband, 1 short-sleeves-shirt for Unduk, and my top-of-all finding : a cool t-shirt with written : SHOPPING MAKES ME HAPPY.

Hahaha… Indeed, my friend… Indeed!!!

psssttt… and you know what, this time I don’t feel so guilty spending some money for those stuffs… well, maybe I would if I bought that red-hot-strapped-peep-toe-shoes that I dream of this last 2 months. Thank God iman saya masih kuat, and Thank God Tuhan udah menjawab doa saya (kemarin saya liat sepatu itu masih belom laku soalnya, jadi saya masih punya kans!)

Don’t-sweat-the-small-stuffs-tips from Miw

Hal-hal dibawah ini sangat mungkin bakal kejadian sama siapa aja -well, yang jelas sih sama saya udah!- so I will give you some how-to-tips to save your energy… so you can use it for some things more useful… like, keeping the world peace, for example! :D
Tips #1

If you happen to go to 21 Cineplex in Plasa Semanggi, and you bring your favourite drink from outside (coz y’know how expensive the 21’s cafe is…) and the security guy is asking you not to bring it along with you… rather than give it to him for free (just like Unduk did last month when we got busted), why don’t give him a cold-look in the eye, and ask him back, “Terus, Bapak mau nangkep saya?” and then walk right away, leave him in confusion. (Although my best suggestion for you is to bring a paper bag or a jacket and try to hide your belonging inside them, coz I don’t think it works anymore… they must’ve learned from me :D )

Tips #2

If you are in the middle of watching movie at the cinema, and your attention is distracted coz somebody calls you, and you think it’s a phone-call from a friend but turn to be a telemarketer who is offering you stuffs, my brilliant suggestion for you is : just put it away from your your ear but don’t hang up, let her speak about 10 seconds, and then say, “halo? halo, mbak?!? aduh suaranya putus-putus nih…” then you can hang it up :D

They surely won’t feel insulted (why would we? It’s what they do for a living!) but at the same time you are not running out more time watching the movie. It’s a win-win solution! :D

Tips #3

Now you walk in Centro Dept Store, and you happen to find these very-colorful-cotton-print-tube-tops with no brand label at some corner of the store and they give you 30% discount from the tag (Rp. 69.000), PLEASE DO NOT think that you’re very lucky finding ‘em coz actually you can buy ‘em only 35.000 rups at the Melawai (which, according to Niken, I should bid ‘em lower… damn!)

Tips #4

And when you are briskly walking in the plasa and then some salespeople -who are sometimes very, VERY ANNOYING- are pulling your nerves, like keep following you anywhere and offering you things when you have actually given a definitely-not-interested-whether-in-this-life-or-in-future-life sign, please do not hesitate to make a pause, turn your back and face them (you may also allow to point your finger if necessary) and say in deep, calm voice, “mas, kalo saya anggap mas ganggu saya, saya bisa panggilkan satpam, lho.” Those words surely work like a spell, especially when you are taller then them :D

Kesimpulannya :

Asyiiikkkk… kayanya ada yg mau ngasih saya duit banyak neh, soalnya satu-satunya hal yang bisa nyegerin pikiran saya sekarang, dan membahagiakan, apalagi sampe ngasih jalan keluar, ya cuma duit.

CIHUYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Gone With The Thief

Padahal hape saya udah lumayan rusak, lho. Hape-nya ngga mau ngecas sendiri (untung baterenya sama dengan cdma saya, jadi numpang cas ke cdma), dah gitu kalo tinggal 4 strip suka langsung drop waktu terima telepon. Jadi saya cuma bisa katakan pada si tukang copet, wahai engkau, wilujeng deh dapet hape butut, huahahaha!! Read the rest of this entry »

That’s What Friends Are For…

hiks…ayoo dong ganti hiks”

*it took me more than 2 hours to find the goddamned less-right theme, Yunk… Not to mention that the internet (and also me) is in “f*ckin’ dodol mode-on”, so u better up know that u owe me soooo much, as much as a million rups, or in your case, it’s equal with 100 euros!!!*

Uhm… u know I love u khan, Yunk…
